Going Home: The War in Sudan with Sudanese journalist Nima Elbagir from The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper received the Outstanding Investigative News Coverage: Long Form in the 45th Annual News and Documentary Emmy® Award competition, which took place on 25 September in New York City.
The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper, is a CNN Original series, which featured an episode, Going Home: The War in Sudan,” on19 November with CNN Chief International Investigative Correspondent Nima Elbagir as she returns to her home country of Sudan to report on the civil war thats torn her country apart and the role the Wagner group has played in this conflict. She has an emotional meeting with her remaining family members who havent fled yet.

New book shares the stories of six prominent Sudanese media personalities
“Not a lot of literature has been written about Sudan in general,” said Satti, who is originally from Sudan. “There are books written about Sudan’s history, politics, and geography, but when it comes to the media situation, there’s a genuine dearth of books written, and you will not find a single book written in English about Sudan’s media personalities.”
Each of the six media personalities Satti interviewed are well known for their storytelling, including Nima Elbagir, an award-winning investigative journalist for CNN, fiction novelist Leila Aboulela, and political cartoonist Khalid Albaih.
