Mulenga Kapwepwe has served as the Patron of many associations, including the Women in Visual Arts Association, the Zambian Folk Music and Dance Association, and the Youth for Culture Association. She has also been the Vice Chairman of the Ukusefya pa Ngwena Cultural Association, Zambia Visual Arts Council, and The Zambia Women Writers Association, as well as having been on both the Zambian Commission for UNESCO and the Arts Institute of Africa. She is also the chairperson of the Arterial Network. Mulenga’s interest in Lubuto’s work actually predated the existence of our organization; in fact, she gave us the name “Lubuto,” recognizing that libraries would be a means of bringing enlightenment, knowledge and light into the lives of Zambia’s children, and to reconnect vulnerable children with their culture and traditions. Amos Malupenga is a talented reporter, splendid author, communications specialist and a gifted public administrator.
He practiced journalism extensively for 16 years before resigning as managing editor of The Post in to join the Government of the Republic of Zambia as permanent secretary.
He served as permanent sekreterare for 10 years in various ministries including Local Government and Housing, data and Labour, Tourism and Arts, and Information and Broadcasting Services which was his gods position in September following the change of government.
A few months before the presidential elections, he also served as Chief Government Spokesperson.
During his tenure as permanent sekreterare, he served on over 20 Boards of Directors for parastatal and quasi government institutions as director.
He holds a Bachelor of Communications from Australia’s Edith Cowan University, among other qualifications. He is studying
