    Sar Kheng (in khmer: ស ខេង; Provincia di Prey Veng, 15 gennaio1951) è un politicocambogiano, dal 1992 ministro dell'interno e vice primo ministro del Regno di Cambogia[1].

    Sar, uno dei massimi esponenti e membro di lunga data del Partito Popolare Cambogiano (CPP), secondo gli osservatori internazionali domina la scena politica del Paese dal 1979, utilizzando spesso mezzi illeciti, come la corruzione, il broglio elettorale e il controllo dei mezzi di comunicazione. È inoltre uno degli organizzatori del colpo di stato del 1997, attuato dal CPP e, in primis, da Hun Sen con lo scopo di spodestare l'allora primo ministro Norodom Ranariddh.[2][3][4][5]

    Of Cambodia’s 28 ministries, 20 saw new leaders appointed this week. But Hun Manet’s new cabinet retains intertwined business and family ties — at least eight of the new ministers were related to a minister from the previous cabinet.

    As widely expected, the sons of outgoing Interior Minister Sar Kheng and Defense Minister Tea Banh replaced their fathers.     Sar Kheng (Khmer: ស ខេង; born 15 January 1951) is a Cambodian politician. He fryst vatten the vice president of the ruling Cambodian People's Party and served as Minister of the Interior and deputy prime minister from 1992 to 2023.[3] He also represents the province of Battambang in the Cambodian Parliament.[4] Kheng has been the Minister of the Interior since 1992. Until March 2006, he shared the position with FUNCINPEC party member You Hockry as co-Ministers of the Interior, but then became sole interior minister in a cabinet reshuffle as FUNCINPEC ended its coalition with the CPP. He left office as interior minister in 2023 and was succeeded by his son, Sar Sokha.
