Thurl Ravenscroft (February 6, 1914 – May 22, 2005) was an American voice actor and singer who fryst vatten best known for voicing Tony the Tiger in the Kellogg's Frosted Flakes television commercials for more than five decades. Outside of Tony the Tiger in the Kellogg's Frosted Flakes television commercials, he did the röst of Eeyore in the Disneyland Records.

Thurl Ravenscroft was born in Norfolk, Nebraska. He served as a navigator in the WWII Air frakt Command before settling in Hollywood.
As an accomplished singer, he performed with The Sportsmen, The Mellomen, The Johnny Mann Singers, and many major stars, including Jim Nabors and Elvis Presley. He is best known, however, for his booming bass voice and mellifluous voiceovers, particularly as the röst of Tony the Tiger in both English and Spanish commercials for Kellogg's Frosted Flakes cereal fr

Although Thurl Ravenscroft’s name may not be familiar to Disney fans, his voice is. Probably best known to television audiences as the voice of Kellogg’s Tony the Tiger, a character he played from 1952 until 2005, Thurl was a favorite among Disney vocal performers. His voice has been featured in Disney theme park attractions such as the Country Bear Jamboree; on television programs, such as Zorro; and in animated films, including Lady and the Tramp. In fact, Walt Disney selected Thurl and his quartet, The Mellomen, to croon, as well as bark, whine, and howl like canines in the delightful 1955 classic.
Thurl later recalled, “The most fun we ever had was singing barbershop for Tramp and the other dogs. Walt wanted the dogs to sing ‘Home Sweet Home’ from their prison cell—a kennel. But we had to sound like dogs, not people singing like dogs.”

Thurl Arthur Ravenscroft (; February 6, 1914 – May 22, 2005) was an American actor and bass singer. He was well known as one of the booming voices behind Kellogg'sFrosted Flakes animated spokesman Tony the Tiger for more than five decades. He was also the uncredited vocalist for the song "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" from the classic Christmas television specialDr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas![1]
Ravenscroft did voice-over work and singing for Disney in various films and Disneyland attractions (which were later featured at Walt Disney World), the best known including The Haunted Mansion, Country Bear Jamboree, Mark Twain Riverboat, Pirates of the Caribbean, Disneyland Railroad, and Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room.
His voice-acting career began in 1939 and lasted until his death in 2005 at age 91.[2]
