      Bill, born in San Diego on August 11, , was raised on Coronado Island.

      His mother's family emigrated from Spain during the ranchero era. His family line descends from the Agustin Olvera family in LA., first judge in California.

      Bill's educational pursuits included UC Berkeley, Stanford, and UC San Diego.

      He and his wife Jeanne, lived in San Diego, raising 3 daughters.

      A civil engineer, he worked for Solar before moving the family to Orange County where he worked for Philco Ford's Aeronutronic Satellite division.

      Their final move was to Saratoga, where they resided the last 40 years of their 60 year marriage, an
