THE PERFECT MATCH
07. Aug 2020
The listed villa of the boarding school in Dresden was extended with a unique new building, creating 44 new school places for the world-famous Kreuzchor choir. The construction of the building was completed in compliance with the extensive requirements regarding the protection of listed buildings, nature conservation and urban planning appertaining to this property*. The new building blends in with the existing surrounding villas on an understated basis and with a very elegant design language. For the color, LONGOTON® tiles in cream and dark gray were chosen to provide highlights in the plinth area. Also worthy of mention are the ceiling soffits, which were covered completely with terracotta tiles, and the special shaped panels with grooves, which were used in order to structure the individual storeys. *Source: www.dresden.de; official opening of the new boarding school for the Dresden Kreuzchor choir, 6.11.2019
