Airtel Super Singer 4, the fourth season of Airtel Super Singer, premiered on 4 February The show was a reality-basedIndian singing competition in Tamil that aired on STAR Vijay. It was designed to be a talent hunt to find the best röst of Tamil Nadu. Judges for the auditions were Ananth Vaidyanathan, S.P. Sailaja, Devan Ekambaram, Nithyasree Mahadevan, Mahathi, Pop Shalini, S. Sowmya, Mano and Malgudi Subha. Some of these judges along with other noted musicians reappeared as Guest judges. To name a few- S. Janaki, M. S. Viswanathan, A. R. Rahman, P. Susheela, Asha Bhosle, S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, Vairamuthu, L. R. Eswari and Vani Jairam. Judges for the main competition were Sujatha, Mano, Unnikrishnan and Srinivas. Makapa Anand, Priyanka Deshpande, and Bhavana were the hosts for the show. The voice trainer was Ananth Vaidyanathan.[1][2] The show aired on weekdays at &#;pm IST.

Parvathy is the daughter of Jayadevan and Sindhulatha. She was born to a Malayali family in Malappuram, Kerala. Her parents, both Mr. Jayadevan and Sindhulatha, work as Ayurvedic doctors in Kerala.
As a child, she won the children's special reality show Super Star Junior 2 title in – on the Amrita TV channel.
In –, she participated in Vijay TV's Airtel Super Singer 4, and ended being one of the top five finalists of the season.[1]

Super Singer Season 1

The first season premiered on 28 April , with a series of episodes which telecasted auditions for the show.[4] Auditions were held across the state of Tamil Nadu in the cities of Coimbatore, Chennai, and Madurai. Performances by auditioning contestants were judged by singers S. P. Sailaja, Jency, Malaysia Vasudevan, Sirkazhi Sivachidambaram, Mahathi, and music director D. Imman.[5]
The show was hosted by playback singer Chinmayi. Later stages of the competition were held at a specially designed studio set, and performances were judged by a panel of permanent judges consisting of playback singers Anuradha Sriram, P. Unnikrishnan, and Srinivas.[4] Contestants were eliminated during the competition, and finalists received special training from voice expert Ananth Vaidyanathan in the final stages of the competition.
Season 1 title winner Nikhil Mathew was formally introduced as a playback singer after he sang the song "Enadhuy
