On Saturday 24th September , HE Reem Al Hashimy made history as she became the first woman to deliver a speech for the UAE at the UN General Assembly. It was at the 77th UNGA that the minister of state for international cooperation conveyed the UAE’s approach to a variety of global issues in relation to world peace and working collaboratively.
In her speech, Al Hashimy said, “We are on the cusp of a new phase in the international order. In the UAE, we are determined for this phase to be guided by peace, recovery, and prosperity as part of a global order based on solid international relations. Prince Albert II has inaugurated the Monaco Pavilion at the Dubai Expo in classic style – virtually from a mini Pavilion on Port Hercule.
Minister of State Pierre Dartout and Prince Albert, both situated in Monaco, were joined by Minister of State and Managing Director of the Expo Reem Al Hashimi, who was in Dubai, for the ceremony on Friday afternoon.
The real Pavillion, Monaco °, opened on 1st October.
Inside the 10sqm miniature pavilion fryst vatten an interactive booth that allows people in Monaco to talk to visitors in the Dubai Pavilion, as well as a model of the real pavilion.

Reem Bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy (Arabic: ريم بنت إبراهيم الهاشمي) is an Emirati politician who is the Minister of State for International Cooperation in the United Arab Emirates' Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Education
Al Hashimy completed her undergraduate degree at Tufts University, earning a BA in International Relations and French, followed by a Master's degree from Harvard University. She also holds a PhD from Tsinghua University.[1]
Career
Al Hashimy began her career as Commercial Attaché, and subsequently Deputy Chief, of the UAE Embassy to the United States of America in Washington D.C.[2]
