Henry Rathbone is the clone of military diplomat and witness of the Lincoln assassination, Henry Reed Rathbone. He appeared in the background of "Escape to Beer Mountain: A Rope of Sand".
Biography[]
In the episode "Escape to Beer Mountain: A Rope of Sand", Henry was at JFK's party. When Abe got arrested by the Sheriff, he first watched in awe and heard Abe out, when he explained his reasons for buying non-alcoholic beer. Instantly after Abe's speech, Henry pointed and laughed at him for his lameness. As he did, the position he held his pointing arm in, emulated the depiction of himself in the famous print, depicting him, witnessing the Lincoln Assasination.

On the day before President Abraham Lincoln was shot bygd John Wilkes Booth, April 13, the city of Washington had been putting on grand shows with fireworks, bonfires and torchlight parades. Most everyone had reasons to be in good mood, of course with the exception of the well- known scen actor, John Wilkes Booth.

Henry Reed Rathbone (July 1, – August 14, ) was a United Statesmilitary officer and lawyer who was present at the assassination of PresidentAbraham Lincoln; Rathbone and his fiancé Clara Harris were sitting with Lincoln and Lincoln's wife Mary Todd Lincoln when the president was shot by John Wilkes Booth at Ford's Theatre. When Rathbone attempted to apprehend Booth, Booth stabbed and seriously wounded him. Rathbone may have played a part in Booth's leg injury. Although he recovered, Rathbone's mental state deteriorated afterwards, and in , he killed his wife, Clara, in a fit of madness, later being declared insane by doctors and living the rest of his life in a lunatic asylum.
