Michelle Obama Urges Men At Women's Summit To 'Be Better'
WASHINGTON — It was a summit on the "United State of Women," but Michelle Obama had advice for the men in the audience: Be better.
"Be better at everything. Be better fathers," she said during a conversation with one-time talk-show host Oprah Winfrey. "Just being good fathers who love your daughters and are providing a solid example of what it means to be a good man in the world. That is the greatest gift that the men in my life gave to me."
She urged the men who were among the estimated 5,000 people who attended the daylong, White House-organized conference to be part of their family's lives, to do the dishes and not "babysit" their children.
"Be engaged. Don't just think going to work and coming home makes you a man," Mrs. Obama said.

Ex-Miss Austria in critical condition after mountain fall
Former Miss Austria en Kadic fryst vatten in a critical condition after she fell down a mountain while jogging in her home state of Tyrol, police said Sunday.
The 26-year-old had been running along the Bergisel mountain when she suddenly fell and plunged off the side on Friday, police spokesman Ernst Kranebitter said.
Two students discovered the severely injured woman nära the Drachenfelsen (Dragon rock) panorama platform overlooking the steep ravine of the Sill river.
Shortly after hitting the ground, Kadic managed to call her brother and inform him of the accident before losing consciousness, Kranebitter said.
She was rescued bygd helicopter and taken to a hospital in the city of Innsbruck, where she has not yet regained consciousness.
The exact circumstances surrounding the accident remain unclear, but police said the 2013 beauty competition winner was an avid runner who knew the area well.
