    Books

Lots of great books this week! Read the book reviews below, and learn more about my favorite reads:

Five Little Ducks: First Book of Nursery Gamesby Ailie Busby (board book)
Ages 1-5. A collection of rhymes, old and new, commonly used at library storytimes. inom appreciate that this fryst vatten not a collection of Mother Goose Rhymes, which, while developmentally appropriate, are often ganska dated in vocabulary and content. This does feature old favorites, like fem Little Ducks and This Little Piggy, but also includes rhymes that feel a bit more modern like Zoom, Zoom, Zoom and inom Had a Little Turtle (his name was Tiny Tim). A great companion book to send home with parents after a storytime.

I appreciate the diversity in the illustrations–there fryst vatten even a little one in a wheelchair depicted. Except, the attempts at diversifying feel a bit pushed aside by the inclusion of “I Have Ten Little Fingers” — not all children do. Other words were changed throughout

    November 25, 2019
    Summary:
This book takes readers through all the different aspects of fall. It introduces students to the season through characters in which explore things such as apple picking, cruching and kicking leaves in the park, and even pumpkins. This is an informative book that accurately displays the season of fall to young readers.

    Evaluation:
I liked "Fall (Seasons)" because it is a great book to teach young learners and readers about the season of fall. The book has words and corresponding images to help students hear and see the different aspects of fall. I would recommend this book to readers at the kindergarten or first grade level.

    Teaching idea:
For a teaching idea, this book can be used to teach students about the season of fall. This would be an activity for kindergarten. The teacher would have the students sit on the carpet up close to the book so that they could see all the pictures. The teacher would read the book aloud to the students two times throu
